TGIF @ the Thyroid PUB
It seems we have all had alot this week. Many changes / many fears / many thoughts. Humor is good. but this week feels a good positive support team is needed.
I have really gotten close to some members here and hope my job of supporting them as much as they have been there for me is appreciated. Even on personal issues. Heck - lately, I talk to more of you then my own family. My kids are freakin out that "mom is blogging" and want to know when I will wash their clothes. LOL
This picture I found may be hard to figure out. It is called "small world" if you look close it represents popular spots all of the world. Popular cities and tower etc. It just felt appropriate this week for togetherness. I have meet a few over seas lately and it really is cool!!! Yet some very close by - in fact just across a "Great Lake" !!
Friends sometimes meet at a pub to connect and get support on their worries............... and then laugh about them to forget. I'm sure Utah's teeth will be coming out tonight too. :) and the P.I.A doctor's notes CarMan posted will sure be a fun topic to run with too. :)
It may bomb this week - but let's post on the spirit tonight of supporting our buddies ( true friends) - if they are having a tough time let's lift some hearts..... then laugh off the worry!!! I am sure AR is getting his white shuffle board "patty" shoes shinned up for the night tonight too!! RIGHT AR ?? and I really hope to see Dac on board tonight.

I was so excited about hanging out at the Pub last night, then I never made it! I woke up this morning with a horrible headache. NOT the way you want to be awaken on a Saturday morning. I feel hung over. Must be too much thinking about the virtual long islands. And sharing Dac's carton of cigs. Ugh........
Thanks to all who sent me online condolences regarding my poor old puppy. I'm sure that today is going to be tough, but knowing that she isn't going to struggle anymore gives me some peace. I helped her up this morning and took her outside to do her business. She can't even make it out of the garage before she starts. While she was eating, I couldn't help but think about the fact that she has no clue what's in for her today!! Made me feel kind of bad, but as I watched her try to eat and her back end kept falling, it made me feel that it's the right choice. It's so hard.
I know it's kind of early for a toast, but I too would like to raise my glass to all of you. I've been on the forum for about a year now, and am amazed at the number of kind, caring people. And the knowledge!! Incredible. It's been such a help to me as I was going through my thyca diagnosis, surgery, complications from surgery, RAI and more. You've all been a life saver more than once, and continue to be. Whether it be thyroid issues or personal things - you're always there. Thank you!!

PS - Utah.....you must have had one too many last night, because you left your teeth in the glass. You ever see a drinking bird with teeth?!?!?! I'm looking quite niiiiiice!

Just "spent a few moments with you" in your journal. After reading this post first I HAD to know more about you.... your HEART, actually. So glad I did.
As for the rest of you.... all I drink (and shouldn't) is an occasional EMMET's (I like it more than Bailey's) on ice. Nice pub, this. I'm not online often and that is an understatement.... bedridden for months. But HAPPY I found this place. I will see if a DOCTOR on the site answers my questions. Very difficult (as you all must know) to get open answers in America from docs.... also hard to get a doc and treatment when you become one of the disabled/poor. Well, I have learned humility... the HARD WAY.

As long as it's virtual I'm gonna bring me a carton of ciggies. Sounds like a good night to me. I need it, next week is spring break. 10 days of no school and rain all week. Praise the Lord for Wii!!!

Hi, guy!!! I've a little absent of late. Had a lot to deal with my job. Today I found out I will be unemployed as of 1 April unless a miracle comes along. So needless to say, I'm sucking down Coronas like they're going out of style. Okay...I'm only on my second one. Anyway, if any one need a good intelligence analyst, I'm your gal.
I did get one job offer via emaill today for double my current salary. They promised free food, lodging, and lots of warm sandy beaches. Sounds great doesn't it. Only catch is I would have to go to Iraq for a year. Not something I'm real anxious to sign up for.
The semi good news is I do get 9 wks severance pay. The bad news it will be taxed at about 40% because it comes in on lump sum. So I get laid off and Uncle Sam makes out like a bandit.
BTW....any body got a pitcher of margaritas....I could use a few tonight!!!!!

I'm planning on heading here tonight as well, and looking forward to it. It's going to be a rough weekend around our house. My son is getting his wisdom teeth out today (2 thru, 2 impacted). Tomorrow, the vet is coming out to put our wonderful chocolate lab down - who was 15 in December. I posted a picture of her under my profile, for all you dog lovers. So yeah......I'm gonna need my buddies out here tonight!!
