hypothyroid and still feel like crap!

ive had a total thyroid removal in 2010 due to cancer which was from an intestinal disorder called familial polyposis colitis to which gave me a 60% increase with the chance for thyroid cancer.ive been on levothyroxine and still feel like crap with hypo symptoms after a year of tweekin the medicine.i got another blood test and have the results but dont know what to make of them.a/g ratio 0.9,free t4 1.73,tsh 0.010,t3 138,free t3 3.5.i would like to know why i still am having symptoms of hypothyroidism if anybody can tell me.i would be extremely grateful..i had to get blood work cause the cancer dr found a spot on my right lung and still not sure whats going on as theyve not done any biopsies on the spot.i have been exposed to asbestos and have calcification around the lungs due to this exposure.thought i may need to take t3 to help regulate the hormones as i have hypo symptoms...thanks:)

thanks for ur info, kimmy,i had 2 surgeries last year and 3 months apart.i went to a endo dr and demanded a pet scan and needle biop cause of the 60% increase of thyroid cancer cause of the genetic trait of familial polyposis colitis i was diagnosed with back in 1995 and untimately had to have eveything but the very end removed because the entire thing was nothing but polyps and so they resectioned it up at the pittsburg medical center in pittsburg,pa and i started gaining weight the whole while i was working 2 jobs and working 60+ hrs a week. i was having issues with my voice for decades and nothing was done.then i went back back to drs in 2001 and went to a pulumologist and he did a ct scan in 2003 and told me i had a nodule in my thyroid..this dragged on tsts and exrays done every once in a while.then in 2010 i finally had enough of not having a voice half the time and not being able to speak when i had no other syptoms.i went to the dr and he did blood work and told me i had mono.so i made the appt with the endo dr and wanted those 2 tests done.he authorized it and the night b4 i went to see him i had to go to the emergency room and after waiting in an exam rm for 4 hrs dr came in and told me i needed to go see a specialist cause it didnt look good cause they found an ovarian cyst the size of a cantalope so i went to see one but she sent me to uab in birmingham to see an ob/gyn oncologist..thank god after it was out along with everything else it wasnt cancer but the few hrs after i found out in the emergency room about the cyst i went to the endo dr and found out i had cancer and he told me to get the other taken care of 1st and the thyroid can wait...sooo,here i am now with the diagnosis of pleural scarring due to asbestos exposure too, which i figured there was a great possibilty of me having given the high risk of exposure....

Your hypo symptoms could actually be hyper symptoms since your TSH is really suppressed.  They like this with thyroid ca, but it looks like you may be really hyper.  This will make your body feel tired, puffy eyes,  etc.

Since this is a duplicate of your other post, why don't we just let this one die out, and reply to the other one.

my test also shows that my tsh is at0.010 and my free t4 is high at 1.73...idk?!it took forever for me to find someone to check out the nodule on my thyroid after it was found in 2001 and i feel the same as i did when it was found..i have difficulty in concentrating and all the symptoms as mentioned above but wondering if its not my thyroid maybe it could have something to do with the spot the drs found on my right lung?that maybe the culprit but just want to clarify the findings as i requested the nurse to put the free t3 and free t4 tests in addition to what the dr wanted to scan for.i would like to know where i need to go from here.

What dosage of levothyroxine are you taking daily?  If you look this listing of 26 typical hypo symptoms, which ones do you have?

http://endocrine-system.emedtv.com/hypothyroidism/hypothyroidism-symptoms-and-signs.html

Even without the benefit of knowing the reference ranges for your thyroid tests, your Free T3 and Free T4 results do not stand out as being indicative of extensive hypo symptoms.  If you have extensive hypo symptoms, this would make me wonder about the possibility of a problem that occurs infrequently, namely excessive Reverse T3.  The T4 hormone in your body is converted to both T3 and Reverse T3.  Under some conditions, too much is converted to reverse T3.  Reverse T3 is the mirror image of the T3 molecule, but is biologically inactive.  The best way to find out is to test for Reverse T3 and then determine the ratio of Free T3 to Reverse T3.
