MY NEW BORN TESTED POSITIVE FOR HYPERTHYROIDS AND I THOUGHT THAT WAS VERY STRANGE. SHE IS ONLY 1 MONTH AND 2 WEEKS OLD. CAN THIS BE CURED AND IS IT POSSIBLE FOR HER TO REALLY HAVE THIS?  MY DOC. TESTED HER AGAIN SO SOMETIME THIS WEEK I WILL FIND OUT IF SHE REALLY DOES HAVE IT.

Graves can be cured, but in order to do that they have to do away with the thyroid in some way, either surgically or with radio active iodine and then hormone replacement for life.  Don't know if they'd do either of those on small baby.  Maybe just put her on some antithyroid meds to take care of it and get her levels back down.  I also that hyperthyroidism can go into remission, so there is hope all the way around.

Let us know what the dr finds out and hang in there.

Yes, she can really have it this early.  I don't know much other than that.  I don't think Grave's disease (hyperthyroidism) is cured, but it can be treated.
