key1coa enlarged lymph nodes

my wife was diagnosed with thyroid cancer 18 months ago. She had a full thyroidectomy and has never been the same since. We have struggled with doctors(endo) because it seems as if they do not listen nor do they care. We recently went back to her original endo because her levels were extremely out of whack. He ordered a chest x ray and ultrasound. It seems as if she may have enlarged lymphnodes as indicated from the ultrasound, but not sure cause radiologist would not tell us. this is just what we gathered overhearing the radiologist and tech converse. Her endo is supposed to call her with results wed. march 12. Is this a red flag has her cancer come back and now spread into the lymphnodes

She needs another scan done.

I'm in Utah and I go to James Grua at the Salt Lake Clinic (IHC) - he only accepts thyroid patients.  I've been through a few endos and I really like him and his approach.  He also treats my daughter who had pre-cancerous nodules and a TT at age 16.

Are you in the Salt Lake area?   I have a sister in Utah County and another in Weber County who like their endos too, if you need someone in those counties instead.

They need to do a I-131 whole body scan on her to see if there is any thyroid tissue (or cancer) uptaking iodine.   What type of cancer and what stage was it?
