living with hashimoto's thyroiditis and hypothyroidism

I have had Hashimoto's thyroiditis and hypothyroism for 15 years and i have never taken any medicine for it, due to the fact that everytime my TSH is elevated it comes right back down. This year things have changed, they have stayed higher more often and i now must consider medication.
I am very symptomatic: headaches, sweats, cold, palpitations, stomach issues, nausea, elevated cholestrol levels, sleep issues, etc. Has anyone out there experienced the same thing with this diagnosis?
I am very concerned since I have never been treated before and I am not sure what to expect.
My thyroid peroxidase blood test result was 1000, indicating that my Hashimoto's was active and my TSH was 10.09.
I would really like to speak to some people who are experiencing all of this!

Hi. I have both  hyper and hypo thryoidism (Graves & Hashimoto's). Got tired of the up & down results and opted to have my thyroid removed. Take Synthroid every and now I'm stable. No complications and no regrets.

There are hundreds of possible symptoms of hypothyroidism. If you are interested you can check out the website: 300+ Hypothyroidism Symptoms...Yes REALLY. That isn't all the symptoms either as I have symptoms not mentioned but it's the longest list I can find online.

I take thyroxine which is synthetic T4 medication. The first week I was hyperthyroid then my hypothyroid symptoms worsened for the next month. You might find you feel better soon afterward starting thyroid medication but don't panic if you feel worse to start with.
