Update on my son.

My son's pediatrician ran a bunch of blood work on him TSH, FT3, FT4, glucose, H-Pylori, and UA on him.  Nurse called Wednesday and said that all tests were normal.  BUT I still haven't got to talk to her to find out what 'normal' is.  Left message that I want the numbers on everything, we all know how different their idea of normal thyroids are.  So as soon as I find out I will let you know.  Just thought I'd update you on this.

My endo said my cortisol test was 5 when should have been at very least 15 so she is scheduling the one-hour cortisol test.  Waiting on that.

PCP upped my Celexa to 40mg, hopes this works.

On the funny side when I went to the drive-thru at pharmacy my son and I had so many scripts we confused the heck out of the poor woman!  I ADDED 2 more and my son added 1 more so now we are up to a grand total of 9, I think!  Then there are my ever changing strengths of meds!  Poor woman!

At least you and your son are making some kind of progress.  Yay!  Get those test results and post them here if you have any questions.

My pharmacists usually get the "oh god, it's *her* again" look every time I walk in.  It's not the prescriptions I'm on, it's the questions I ask.  LOL!  Apparently, I'm driving all my health care people nuts!  It's good to have a hobby. ;)

A buffalo hump is a fatty tissue hump right below the base of your neck.  Kind of like an oseoperosis hum, but this one is made of fatty tissue and extra hormone instead of curved bone.  Hope that made sense.

Well, went in and actually tried to research it and the only thing they can agree on is that they can't agree on what it's actual function is in the body.   Know that lack of it, like me, and you're exhausted.  Don't know what else except says that it makes you lose a lot of weight.  Wrongo!  What they said about Graves', too.  Boy, have I proved them wrong! :(  If there is too much cortisol you develop Cushings', which is what I actually thought was wrong with me.  Three of the main symptoms are very round face, large stomach, and excess hair on body and I have all of those.  Boy, I sound purdy, don't I?  Don't think I look THAT bad.  But the other big diagnoser is a buffalo hump, which I don't have.

So, I don't know.  But will tell you when I have my other test done if I find anything out at that time.

Boy, KWUM, has me stumped!?  Usually I can figure these out, but not this one.
