I know of several doctors in the NY area; however, if you are feeling fine why is there any need to change your dosage or med? You certainly don't need to change anything just because of the TSH result. And if there is no need tochange anything, then why would you need to change doctors?
Would you be able to recommend a good thyroid doctor in the NYC area by any chance. Thanks.
Thanks for the reply. I don't have any symptoms, but that means I have to find a different doctor soon.
By all means, do not agree to change your med when you are feeling fine. In fact, when taking thyroid med, scientific studies have shown that a TSH test is almost irrelevant. A good thyroid doctor will treat a hypo patient clinically by testing and adjusting Free T4 and Free T3 as necessary to relieve symptoms, without being constrained by resultant TSH levels.
So please tell us about any symptoms you have, and then we can discuss further any dosage adjustment that might be advisable.
