thanks, unfortunately im a hairdresser so i cant avoid using my hands and wrist lol.been 6 yrs for me i think the good doctor is more impotant than the meds lol.
Yes Carpel Tunnel is one common symptom of thyroid, also many other types of body aches, muscle spasms, joint pain, although it can be limited if your at an optimal level of medication (I have not found it yet,and it has been 2 years LOL although a good MD helps)
Try to avoid repetative motions of the hand and wrist, like what we are doing here on the PC keyboard. Good Luck FTB4
What happens to Hashi patients is some tend to get a build up of lactic acid in the muscles, or small muscle knots. These knots in turn, also put pressure on the nerves anywhere from the neck, shoulder or forearm causing a tingling or electrical shock sensation in the fingers.
An occupational therapist or physical therapist that understands how to manually remove muscle knotting via therapeutic massage would help a lot. And they can possibly teach you how to do this for yourself several times a day. It makes a night and day difference.
Body pain with Hashi has most to do with Free T3 levels, not Free T4 or TSH.
If you have a copy of your last lab work (you should keep these if you dont) , feel free to post it here with the ranges used. FT3 is best at 1/2 to upper third of the range.
