pituitary tumor

Has anyone ever had a pituitary tumor that has effected thyroid function?

My brain MRI with and without contrast is scheduled for Friday morning.  My Prolactin is elevated along with TSH and Thyroid Antibodies.  My sonogram of my thyroid came back normal.

Just some info or support would be nice.

Since being diagnosed 2007 of hyperthyroid then taking the radio active iodine turning my thyroid to hypothyroid my stomach looks like I'm 7months pregnant. I have neck, back, knees and ankle pains all the time. Not to mention the memory. I have been driving on 4 different occasions and all of a sudden I'm wondering where I am at. It only last a few seconds but it scares me so bad that it even happen. Have you had or know of anyone that has had these problems if so I just would like to know how you got passed it? What can I do to help me through this.

Hello,

My sister had a pituitary tumor and her prolactin level went up.  She is now Vitamin D deficient after removal of the tumor.  The adrenal gland, pituitary, and all of the endocrine system are all connected.  If one is out of wack then they all can be.  My sister does not have thyroid problems, but I do, and I do not have a tumor. It is all so very strangely connected.  If the tumor is removed, your thyroid could go back to normal, it is just a wait and see approach.  Good luck with your diagnosis.
