suspicious thyroid nodule

I had my 2nd FNA two weeks ago after my first one came back with hurthle cells and suspicious.  They sent my 2nd biopsy for molecular testing and my results came back as suspicious again. So I'm meeting with an endo surgeon next week. If both biopsies were suspicious AND the molecular testing was suspicious I'm assuming it means if my nodule isn't cancer now that it will be in the future. Is this a correct assessment?

I'm meeting with a surgeon today and in all honestly I am not thrilled about the prospect of removing my whole thyroid.  All I've seen posted are horror stories about depression,  fatigue, weight gain,  hair loss and mood swings. I don't think it's worth removing my entire thyroid due to the change in my quality of life.  Is just having the module removed an option? Please be as specific as possible.

"Suspicious" means there is cause for concern.  A joke about surgeons is that they don't change lightbulbs, they take them out.  It is a safer course of action to remove the thyroid nodule as your physicians have implied.  Having the Sword of Damocles over your head is not a comfortable situation.
