My endo said that I have Hashimotot's thyroiditis (hypo) but that my thyroid goes both hyper and hypo sometimes as it is trying to do its job but failing.  I thought this explained it ok but then I had a total thyroidectomy due to thyca and am now without meds, and without thryoid for four weeks but have some of those same symptoms you have.  My theory is that they just don't fully understand the effects of those hormones and that some other parts of my body may be trying to compensate, hence the "hyper" like symptoms.  I, like kitty, had relief when they put me on the replacement hormone (in my case it was Cytomel, a T3 replacement).

Ask them to put you on Armour (not Synthroid), which replaces T4 and T3 as well as some trace hormones and see if it helps.

Good luck,

Blessings,

Valerie

I had the same symptoms with a "borderline" hypo diagnosis. I had insomnia and anxiety.
This was before I was on meds.
Symptoms went away with Synthroid.
There are many symptoms common to both hypo and hyper and it seems paradoxical.

Here is a great article by a psychiatrist:

I had the same thing! Heart palpatations, anxiety, trouble sleeping. I also had twitches and tremors all over my body (not just eyelids) and migraines that all stopped or greatly lessened once I was diagnosed hypothyroid and put on 112mcg of synthroid. They are lowering my dose and twitches and heart palpatations have returned as well as 3 migraines in 2 months. The symptoms aren't as bad as before mess but they are noticeable
Why are they lowering your dose.  If it is because of low/suppressed TSH, you need to read Rec. no. 13, on page 13 of the following link.

http://www.thyroiduk.org/tuk/TUK_PDFs/The%20Diagnosis%20and%20Treatment%20of%20Hypothyroidism%20%20August%202017%20%20Update.pdf
I will have to confirm whether it was low TSH but I do know it was because they (the GP and  the Endocrinologist) didn't like the numbers  in my blood test. I will check out the link you left

Hi, yes these are symptoms of too much medicine. Time to call your doctor and let him know what you are feeling. I don't know what dose you are on, but obviously your body cannot utilize it and it's causing symptoms of hyperthroidism.
