Concussion

Had a car accident got rear ended went to the doctor and was treated for muscle spasm took pain medication  maybe 2 weeks after the accident  went for a light exercise at the gym after 20 min into my routine with light weights  I don't if it was the adrenaline I felt the strongest headache could not concentrate I felt a little tingling feeling in my fingers at that point I could not even think and felt my eyes were very heavy went to the emergency room got a ct scan and a very heavy medicine that makes you dizzy as **** they told me I had a  concussion maybe due to the  accident . I still feel  pain when I'm  about to do something that requires me lift or gets my adrenaline going . Does any have tips to clear this pain or least  a good medicine to take the pain away thanks.

I hope you are beginning to feel better.  Are you seeing a Neurologist now or what type of MD is following you for your concussion (closed head injury)?  Normally, they do not recommend that you exercise after such an injury, but rather rest, so I would suggest that you lay off the gym for a while or check with your MD to see if it's OK but also let him/her know that you are still having these headaches and feeling sluggish.

There are many other symptoms that also go along with a concussion that you may/may not be experiencing as well.  I have just opened up a User group "Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)", which you can find under the search feature here and I and others may be able to help and support you since I've also been in a similar situation - a concussion falls under this category.  It takes time, and can be frustrating at times, and sometimes some symptoms (especially cognitive) go unrecognized.

In the meantime, I hope you feel better and know that we are here to support you and educate you on how to cope with this.
