i know exactly how you feel.
i'm a 17-year-old female and
i also had a hemorrhage last january (2009)
found out i had a tumor, but everything would be fine.
i also get headaches to the point where it's like i have a personality change.
people also tell me it's in my head and i'm lost what to say to them also.
my doctor told me to see a psychiatrist and i get so upset with him because i don't need one.
i'm in the same boat with you. if you figure out what to do, please let me know.
and if i find something to do, i'll for sure let you know.
hello all,
I had a brain bleeding(contusion) after an accident a year ago. I have lot of symptoms like you all do (head pressure, visual disturbance, dizziness etc.,)
Most people (including doctors) don't understand what we all go through. It is not in our head or we are imagining. Symptoms are real. Personality change is common after a brain injury and I can never be who I was before.
There are some medications for head ache (elavil etc.,) which may lower your headache but Brain Injury headaches are tough.
There are lot of alternative therapies - Neurofeedback, Acupuncture, HBOT which may help but cost a lot because Insurance won't cover it.
For dizziness you can do some Vestibular rehab.
Looks like we (and many others) are in the same boat.
good luck.
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If after almost a year new symptoms have surfaced then was a repeat CT scan of head or MRI done? Either there is a bleed again or some other problem. Even at your age possibility of high blood pressure should be looked into as the cause of headaches and quick anger. Though auditory hallucinations (hearing voices) are often seen in psychotic disorders, they can also be heard in lesions of brain stem, stroke, inflammation of the brain and tumors. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Your parents should take you to a neurologist immediately. If all neurological parameters and MRI are normal then counseling may help. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
thank you guys for the information. i will tell my mother this. hopefully, something will get done about this.
