Hi,

Did she get seizures or was this dose given for prophylaxis?
A person can be administered that many pills of clonazepam to control recurrent seizures. Although clonazepam has to be withdrawn very very gradually over a prolonged period of time.

I don't have any real answers for you.  I was 14 when my Mom and 2 sisters & I were involved in a single car accident.  I was thrown from the car and landed on a large bolder. When the car stopped rolling it landed on top of me. This was in 1968 and they did not have the knowledge that doctors have now.  I was in a come nearly 3 weeks.  I recovered slowly.  But about 13 years ago I started having silent(partial) seizures.  I never felt them coming on I would just pass out and wake up within seconds not knowing what happened.  I have not had any more seizures since 1997.  I just found out recently when my neurologist order an MRI of my brain, that all the scare tissue was causing my seizures.  They may come back or never have them again.  I saw my MRI and my neurologist showed my the part of my brain that basically is dead, it the area that involves memory and stress. I just wanted to share this, maybe it will help you to understand and my be help your friend.  It took many years for me to get all the answers to my TMB.
