And the dresses the salons have r just not my cup of tea...lol...
I would love a classic dress, not a sack of flowing material and sequins.....
I could use some ideas for a mother of the bride dress too. My mother is very skinny and petite and doesn't like to show her arms or her legs. Not sure what we're going to do!
Well she has her dress...we r now on to MOB dresses as we got what they had not what we really wanted for the bridesmaids...it is sad that u can see it is a magazine, but not find it in the salons....
Kleinfelds is way too expensive for us...lol...
But if neone has ideas for the MOB...I am open to hear them : )
Just saw your message now...
My sister recently got engaged (yay!) and I went to LA to look at dresses with her this past weekend. We went to the Jenny Lee store (Newport Beach?) and of course, they only carried her stuff. The designer was there and offered to custom make a dress for her, but it was too much money.
We went to two other stores, Mon Amie (also Newport Beach?) and La Soie (Pasadena). At Mon Amie, we were only interested in the Jim Hjelm and Monique Lullhier dresses and they did have styles in both. They didn't have ALL their dresses, but they did have some. La Soie had an even smaller selection.
I would be upset if I were you. If they said they had a designer, they should have several of his/her dresses. And if you give a style number and they confirmed they had it, they should definitely have it.
So far, the service at the salons I've been to were good.
By the way, did you check out the sale at Kleinfeld's? I think it was yesterday.
