Don't have any sweets and chocolates and biscuits in the house or fizzy and sugary drinks.  Drink water.

Have plenty of fruit available, so that if you feel like something sweet, have a piece of fruit instead.

Also if a craving comes on, go for a walk (away from shops), telephone a friend, or occupy yourself with something (not sweets).

Eat a healthy balanced diet with plenty of fresh fruit and veg.  Eat meat and fish.  You will find that once you eat a healthy diet, your cravings will subside.  The longer you go without anything sweet, the easier it becomes.

A little portion consumed once a day is fine, but if you are anything like me, if you eat one, you have to consume the whole box till all the sweets have gone.  In that case it is better not to have the temptation there in the first place.

Best wishes.

Sweets are not 'the devil', first of all.  You can easily soothe your cravings by having ONE chocolate kiss, or even three.  Once a day.  Not more.  It is too small an amount to make a difference in your weight loss efforts, but just enough to ease that little voice that says you want something sweet.  Blessings - Blu

Vitamin B12 deficiency (in my case malabsorption due to autoimmune pernicious anaemia), hypothyroidism, magnesium deficiency, insulin resistance.  When you have all these conditions at once, 1kg (2.2 pounds) of chocolate/sugary foods a day is...well a piece of cake. :P
