A few symptoms with a fever that's coming and going. When should I be concerned?

I woke up for work yesterday with a bad headache and sore throat, found out a few hours after when I left work early that I was running a fever of 101. Today the headache has gone away and not come back, I woke up and my temperature was back down to the 97 range where I'm normal, with the sore throat getting better and worse through the day depending on how much I keep drinking, which I imagine is normal, along with a cough that I've assumed is from the sore throat. However now at about 12 AM, my temperature is back up to 99.5-99.9. At what point should I be worried and consider a trip to an urgent care center?

Hello~That is considered a "low-grade" fever, I wouldn't worry too much about it, but, do try not to over-do, you don't want to use up all of your body's reserve and have the cold come back on you, and be even more severe than it was before.

I would also add extra vitamin D3, A, C and B to your diet, these are immune builders and will help you through the cold and as you get better as well.

These vitamins are not proven to improve your immune system. Your system is complex and the only known improvement you can make is get a good night's sleep.

For a typical adult, body temperature can be anywhere from 97 F to 99 F. Your temperature doesn’t stay the same all day.
