Can a swoll gland on one side of your throat be related to a bad tooth?

A couple mths ago i noticed a small knot in the left side of my throat. It was very small. Then after sum time it got a lil bigger & now again its bck to hardly there at all. It hurts & causing pain all over the left side of my neck, makes my left ear hurt sometime. Ive been told it could be a blocked salivary gland. I also have a really bad cavity on the left side as well. My doc wants me to have it pulled asap because it could potentially be the root of the problem. Anybody have any advice for me or maybe have been thru the same thing?? Id love to reach some form of piece of mind. Thanks!!

Hello~Your bad cavity could be causing an infection to spread throughout your mouth and even neck and ears, I would have it taken care of as soon as possible.

I'd get a second opinion from a different practice.
