Anaemia

I get tired all the time, even when i've done barely anything, i feel shattered, i fall asleep at odd moments and am alway's feeling drained. Over the years i've been tested about 8 times for anaemia but it always comes back fine. I tried having a healthy diet and exercise but it just tired me out even more. I took vitamins but nothing seems to work. I have an anxiety problem that means i have difficulty sleeping but even when i sleep perfectly i still feel **** during the day.
Please help

Right, i had my calcium tested, came back normal, my doc says i don't need my pth done, I'm going to see about getting some iron tablets this week, as i guess they can't do more harm! I would love to feel rested when i wake up!!

I have a similar problem, but also have a lot of neuro symptoms too like muscle twitching. I use to cry in winter because my feet were always cold. NOTHING made them warmer. I was tested and it was always normal. Twenty years later I was seeing a psychiatrist for ADD. One day I went in for my typical 20 minute check in and he took one look at me and immediately told me to start taking iron with my period. I was white as a ghost. I know because I had seen myself in the mirror for a few days prior to meeting with him and thought I looked pasty white. I was on a medication that required regular bloodwork. It was always "normal'. My doc asked about the bloodwork. When I told him it was normal he basically said it's not always right.

I went that day to get my iron and started taking with my period. I had some premenstuel issues and the following month decided to start the iron when I began experiencing those. I could tell a difference in the way I felt and with my period. No more clots. Within three months I was taking iron daily. Fast forward two years and I feel like a new person. My quality of life has significatly improved.

It didn't take long for me to really start feeling better. The best thing was waking up feeling rested. Once I started to feel this way (probably less than two months) I realized I wasn't sure if I had EVER felt that before.

You might want to consider trying to see if it helps.

Also have your serum calcium, ionized calcium and PTH (parathyroid) tested. You can check out info on this at www.parathyroid.com

Good luck and keep us posted.
