Anxiety problem or something more serious?

whenever i get really anxious or upset i have a stabbing pain in my armpit. usualy its the left arm but sometimes it can be the right. it is fluctuating on how long it lasts ( mostly it stays for as long as im upset). i dont know if this is maybe a part of an anxiety attack? or maybe something more serious?

it sounds like part of the anxiety attack to me i've had them and they are not pleasant

Anxiety causes the heart rate to increase. If the heart is deprived of oxygen, it can cause something called "referred pain", that is when the heart becomes deprived of oxygen, the pain will go to another area of the body, mainly the arms. I'm not saying that is what it is, however, I think you should go get an EKG just to make sure. Good luck!

If the pain comes only when you are anxious, then it is part of anxiety attack. Try deep breathing exercise, yoga, meditation and go for counseling.
