Canker Sore for Two weeks on Tonsil

Hey So I have a canker sore I think on the spot where my tonsils would be if I had them still (removed years ago).

It's been two weeks and it's gotten bigger. I went two weeks ago for to a doctor who some how didn't notice it but still ran the strep, and gon/chlamydia and HIV tests and all were negative.

When should I be concerned? It's like 1.5cm in diameter with an inflamed red ring around it and various shades of white inside. It's large enough to easily photograph.

I can finally eat again but it is larger than before

Any update on this? Perhaps you have a throat ulcer? They probably swabbed it to see if it was bacterial or fungal. No results from that? Here is info on an actual ulcer. https://www.healthline.com/health/throat-ulcers  Don't allow this to make you question your test results. Those are firm. But figuring out what this ulcer is from . . .   You don't smoke do you? Do you gargle with salt water?
