B12 Deficiency

Has anyone ever been misdiagnosed with parkinson's and it wound up being a severe B12 deficiency?

Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Actually patients having Parkinson’s disease being treated by levodopa result in Vit B12 and folate deficiency over a long period. In some it happens earlier and in some late. This could have happened in the case you are discussing.

I have never heard of that situation but when I was young I was misdiagnosed with lukiamia and it was a severe B12 deficiency, so the Dr's can get it wrong!

i havent heard of that but i was diagnoised with b12 deficiency anmd it turned out i was 3 months pregnant lol

I have NEVER heard or seen that situation; RN for 12 years.
