Feel like I have fever but temp is 36.5 C

I have been feeling this way for the last 2 days but my body temp is just 36.5 C. Also, my feet feels cold when I touch it. The only reason I can think of that could possible cause this is that 4 days ago I have very little sleep then I drank 3 shots of tequila and a couple of light beer. I generally feel tired and a bit chilly. BTW I am a 28yr old male. I know this doesn't look serious but I'm just wondering since I do not have colds or cough. I just feel tired all the time and a but chilly. Any ideas what could this be?

Again, as I mentioned your symptoms you describe could be thyroid/adrenal insufficiency...you could suggest to dr to get checked for these...

TSH
FREE T3 and FREE T4 (these are even more important than TSH and important to run at same time, although drs don;t like to run the free t3 and free t4, so you might have to really fight for this to get accurate picture.

CBC's with differentials. This is all your regular blood work plus electrolytes. Can show if you are fighting a virus or infection by how your levels are. Low levels of some of these will show that your immune system is not working as well as it should.

Cortisol and DHEA testing...this will show how your adrenal system is working. If it is fatigued or insufficient then you will have abnormalities there.

Vit B12...checks for deficiency. Optimal levels of this vitamin are a lot higher than what the ranges on tests are. Good level is 600 or more.

Vit D...checks for deficiency.

So just some ideas for you to talk to dr about...feeling chilly and running a low temp can be a symptom of hypothyroid, as well as fatigue and sleeplessness, like you haven;t got enough sleep. You mentioned you felt like you were running a fever but low temp, so that's why I mentioned the burning skin, but low temps. Another person also talked about the feeling like burning or fever sensation but low temp so I thought I'd tag that as well as a symptom of adrenals/thyroid.

Have a good day, and hope you find some answers. You are right for going to dr to get it looked into if it persists.

My hands aren't really that cold, it's just my toes.
I don't think I have burning skin and flashes.
Not much other symptoms other than tiredness and a feeling of sleeplessness.
My temp is still 36.2 to 36.5 (on armpit BTW).
Tomorrow will the 4th day, I'll probably go to the doc if I notice no changes.

Thanks all.

Ever had thyroid checked?

Fatigue and cold extremities like feet and hands, low running temp, and burning skin, flushed skin but not like a hot flash, but burning skin, like on face and ears...can mean there are some adrenal issues going on...thyroid or pituitary.

Any other symptoms you have noticed?

hey, my mums been feeling the same lately and says shes burning but when i do her temperature its never above 36.5c, i think it could be an airborn virus or a flu but i suggest you get as much sleep as you can and if you are not feeling any better in a few days take yourself to the doctor and see what they say, hope you feel better soon.

It could be the beginning of the flu, a cold, or seasonal.  I don't think the alcohol caused it.

Could be the lack of sleep and not staying hydrated. Try drinking more water and see if that helps.
