Finger problem

Hi!

Few days ago happened an incident and I smashed my hand onto my cell phone and immediately felt terrible pain in my fingers.
For a while they were numb, but it passed when the pain subsided.
The next day I noticed sensitiveness along the last joint (the on top) of my pointer. At start I thought there's something stabbed in but found nothing.
The other thing I noticed that pointer and middle finger were swollen a bit and I think they still are bit bigger (fingertip area) than same ones on other hand.
The sensitiveness comes and goes by the day.
Also found a tiny red dot on middle finger, under that I can feel tiny lump which isn't painful.
Overall there wasn't significant pain since the day after incident. When I touch around the pointer's joint I feel it's bit sensitive to harder pushes.
Any ideas whether it's something I should look forward? I guess there weren't any broken bones, though I have no experience of broken bones.
My idea was nerve issue after hard blow to finger.

Thanks for advice.

Warm water helps and the tenderness seems to lessen by the time.
Soft tissue injury seems to be reasonable since the minor swelling is not always persistent.
Overall the finger seems improved and isn't bothering that much anymore.
The doctor appointment is a problem since I don't have insurance nor enough financial stability but I'll keep to observe if there's a problem.
I'll check out any medical information i can get.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
In all probability you have soft tissue injury. Take an anti-inflammatory and see. If the injury is 24 hours old apply ice wrapped in cotton cloth and if it is older, dip hand in warm water. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Do consult your doctor. Take care!
