Growth on tragus (canal side)

I have a growth on the inside of my tragus and I'm starting to get concerned. Unfortunately it is in a place where seeing it is difficult even with a camera but it is red and takes up most of the skin prior to entering the ear canal. I was told it was a wart at one point but even with the freezer applicants, it still won't leave and it hurts when I apply it to the area. Note: it isn't pierced and it started as a bump years ago but now it has grown very wide.

Either way, I still would advise you to see your doctor because by the description it sounds as if it is infected  this is why it is red (inflamed) and painful.

The cartilage before the actual canal itself is still part of the ear.

Best wishes.

It's not in the canal it is still on cartilage before the outer canal starts I just used canal side to describe where on the tragus it was

Sorry forgot to mention, that as this is on the canal side, it is likely to be ottitis externa.  Infection of the outer ear canal.  Don't poke it about, you will spread the infection and make it worse.

See your doctor as soon as you can, as you don't want the infection to spread into the middle ear or anywhere else.

You shouldn't be applying anything to your ear, let alone freezer applications.

You need to see the doctor with this.  He will be able to examine and and decide if you need any antibiotic creams or antibiotics if it is an infection.  Sounds like a blind boil.

Best to get it checke out by your doctor.
