Please help I've been living in pain for years

So ever since I was little I've had throbbing pain, only on the left side of my body, one day I'll wake up with a headache in the left side of my face (I press I nerve on my eyelid and it seems to relieve it) it feels like it goes down my face and jaw to the back of my neck down threw my arm to my hand as well as going threw my back down by my kidneys threw my inner thigh down the back of my calf and into my feet, literally head to toe it's a throbbing pain, stretching or massaging will sometimes relieve the pain for a moment but it just ends up coming back...I haven't had any major traumas and am not over weight when I was younger my dr said it was "growing pains" but I'm 17 and have not grown In nearly 4 years...recently the pain is constant instead of just every now and than I am becoming miserable! And have no idea what to do! (Alieve nor muscle relaxers have helped in the past)

Sorry, but your doctor sounds like an idiot. Since it's on one side it's obviously something he should be paying attention to. I am an English teacher so I don't know anything, but I also have a problem with my left side. If there's ever anything wrong, it's on my left side. I've mentioned it to doctors and they smile and say that it's a mystery. I'm 52 so no "growing pains" here. I'm sorry that I'm no help, but I wanted you to know that I know what you're going through. I think you should be going back to the doctor and asking for a consultation with a specialist. Maybe a neurologist? I don't know but somebody.

You need to make an appointment to see your doctor so that you can get either referred to a specialist or have further investigation by way of scans/xrays to find out if there is any problems along your spinal column.

It appears that there may be a trapped nerve or a spinal issue that is causing the problem.

It is only by getting the right examination done that you will be able to find out what is going on and how to treat and remedy this.

Let me know how you get on.
Best wishes.
