I've had two friends punch a wall: one broke his hand, and the other only got a severe gash. Oh and put a fist sized hole in his plaster wall.
I would say get an x-ray. If that is not possible, try to ice it and put it in a splint for a week or so. It may just be a bone bruise, but you may have also fractured it. Just make sure it's not deformed or seems to be swelling.
proberbly the same thing, why did you punch a wall what set you offthat you became so angry that you had to injuire yourself.
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Usually simple knuckle fractures are treated by using a splint and taping the injured finger with the adjoining finger. Surgery is required if there is alignment problem, angulation problem or displacement of the fracture ends. An X-ray is required to decide the course of treatment. Please consult an orthopedic specialist. Meanwhile cold compress and anti-inflammatory may help control pain and swelling. Take care!
