I had a lot of blood in the bowl after a bm

I'm a 22 year old female, overweight, with pcos and endometriosis, but am otherwise healthy. Around 6 months ago I had a bowel movement with some pain. When I wiped it was all blood and a little bit of clotting. The bowl was bright red too. Every BM after that had a little bit of blood for a day or too and then it went away. I haven't thought about it since, but it happened again yesterday. I also felt bloated and had some very light, minor stomach pains, but as I tend to create symptoms with my high anxiety I'm not sure that's related. I don't have medical insurance or any savings right now to see a doctor, but I will in a month or so when I get past my probation at my new job. Basically I'm really frealed out. Googling it has brought up nothing but info about colon cancer which has triggered my anxiety pretty bad. I was jusst hopimg someone else had experience with this? Could this be an internal hemorrhoid rupture?  Could it be anything but colon cancer?

You absolutely need to be seen by a doctor and should not 'self treat' until you are evaluated. That's my opinion.  bright red blood in bowel movements or during a bowel movement can be hemorrhoids but it can be other things as well.  It's good that the blood is on the tissue but if it is in your bowel movement itself (which might be hard to tell), that's reason to see your doctor. Hemorrhoids are a cause of blood or you could have an anal fissure.  But you also could have a polyp that needs to be taken care of.  I think your best bet is to see your doctor even though it is not a very pleasant reason to.  :>)  I can empathize.  Been there.

PCOS is something typically diagnosed during a woman's reproductive years which  you are in so being diagnosed now is not unusual. It is something that you will need to work on especially down the road when you hope to have a baby.  If you are having issues with periods or other unwanted symptoms, many are managed on metformin these days quite effectively. My friends who have PCOS find weight management and unwanted hair to be the hard things about it.  So, strategizing for that is a good idea.  Most take the pill until they want to get pregnant to help. Anyway, it is a chronic issue but you'd be surprised how many women have it and manage very well.

To answer your question.  I've had a bit of blood during a bowel movement but not to the extent you have.  I'd want to get that checked out.  good luck and let me know what you think!

It sounds like a simple case of  hemorrhoids and the good news is that in most cases the bleeding stops within 24-48 hours.
In other words, not a serious issue at all. Just monitor your BM , in the event something changes.

Your PCOS and Endometriosis are concerning enough, considering your young age.
There's a chance you have Estrogen Dominance. To verify that you could ask for  hormonal testing .
Estrogen dominance  is a contributing factor to anxiety, gastrointestinal issues and weight gain among other symptoms.

The fix is usually very simple simple.
Applying a bioidentical Progesterone cream is one of the better ways to correct this issue.

Please look into this for your long-term health and well-being.

Best wishes,
Niko
