Intense pain in big toe joint 3 weeks after bunionectomy

In feb 2017 I started having problems with pain and swelling in my big toe joint. I had my gp check it out, she said probably arthritis and put me on diclofenac. By March the pain turned into horrific pain attacks, lasting a few secs at a time. By the end of march i got sent home from work and was told go to a podiatrist(by my boss). The first one i went to swore i was an alcohol and red meat kind of girl and said it was gout. He sent me home with an anti inflammatory and said keep the joint warm and eat cherries. By May I was getting a 2nd opinion. HIS first words to me were "when are we operating on this bunion". So, surgery was scheduled for Aug. By my surgery date I couldnt walk. My back and hips hurt so bad from limping on my sore foot. And my foot was way more deformed than 2 months prior. Dr did a bunionectomy and put 2 screws in the top of my foot. That made toe 1 and toe 2 kissing cousins so to speak. Beyond all the surgery pain, Im STILL having intense pain attacks in my big toe joint. I went back to Dr today and he xrayed and said everything looks good and besides I didn't even operate there. He blew me off, gave me Ultram and sent me home crying. Please can somebody tell me what is going on and what can i do to make it stop? Help! :'(
