Headaches, feverish, indigestion, pain in abdomen...

Well I'm living in a foreign country at the moment and have trouble explaining my symptoms to my doctor because of language difficulties. So I'm here to maybe get an idea of what to ask my doctor...

My first, and most annoying, symptom is chronic headaches in both the front and back of my head that seem extremely difficult to get rid of and I am ending up taking medicine for it about 3 or 4 times a week! The other issues include sudden acid reflux that just started about a month ago, pain in the right side of my stomach next to my belly button, unusual bowel movements i.e. it is never normal, always diarrhea and bouts of constipation. The digestive problems are really getting in the way of my every day life since I am constantly worrying if my stomach is going to embarrass me since it makes loud noises all the time or I will be stuck somewhere with no toilet around :( I am lactose intolerant but the diarrhea doesn't seem to be linked to the small amount of dairy I now eat, if, and when I eat it. And then there are times I feel weak and feverish, like my insides are on fire but I don't actually have a high temperature. Because of this, I end up feeling like I am a hypochondriac or something.

Additionally, I had blood tests done a while ago but they came back normal and, unfortunately, my doctor never followed up with any of it. I have also had hypoglycemia for a while, having been diagnosed when I was younger but, again, I never understood how I had it. I didn't have any nutritional problems that would cause it but both that and autoimmune disorders run high on both sides of my family.

Some of the lesser symptoms I also have are just overall tenderness in my abdomen and back when I am feeling weak and feverish that makes me think of potential kidney problems and difficulties sleeping i.e. I never wake up feeling refreshed, more like I was hit by a car.

I am just hoping to get some advice or even answers to what could possibly be going on with me. I am only 22 (female) and generally in good condition.

Before your symptoms started, were you in an area with ticks?  Lyme Disease can cause all of your symptoms.  It's called the new great imitator because it mimics so many other diseases, especially certain autoimmune disorders like MS, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and other unknown conditions like fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.

I have Lyme and I have had similar digestive problems, headaches, and feeling feverish and weak.  I never got the sore joints or muscles like many Lyme patients get, which I think is part of the reason it took so long to get diagnosed.  It's worth getting tested for...  If your family lives in or visits a highly endemic area, it could also explain some of the autoimmune issues.  Lymnot only mimics some of them, it has been linked to them, possibly as a cause in some people.

Do some research on it and see if it's a fit.  In most other countries, it's known as Borrelia.
