Dull and achy.

Hey everyone. For the past two weeks, I have had this dull, achy, gnawing pain under my left rib cage. I don't experience this pain everyday, but when I do it lasts for hours. I have noticed that it feels uncomfortable when I lay on my stomach. The pain isn't anything that bends me in half or anything that bad. It's more annoying and just there than anything. The pain will move around, too. It's always on the left side, but it will start under my ribcage, and then it may move downward toward just above my bellybutton. I also feel quite gassy. I do pass gas a lot when I am experiencing this pain. Also, when I first started experiencing this pain, I wasn't peeing like I normally do. Like, I would only pee little amounts. I would, however, pee like normal every so often. Now, I am peeing like normal. My bowel movements are normal, as well. But the pain still comes and goes. I am supposed to be going to the doctor within the next few weeks, so I will fully explain to her how I have been feeling then. Although, I just want to get your guy's opinion on what this may be. I have been experiencing extreme anxiety over this, so I sometimes think some of this is just all in my head, but I'm not sure. I'm really confused and upset over this. I realize I am probably overreacting over this, but I can't help it. I am so afraid this is something very serious that is going to really hurt me. But thank you for reading and replying to this. I appreciate it so much. :)

Yes, I do drink quite a lot of caffeine. No alcohol whatsoever.

Your diet sounds pretty decent.  Are you a soda, caffeine or alcohol drinker?

Are you taking any medications now?  (over the counter and/or prescribed)

Sounds GI (Gastrointestinal) to me.  I can't say the urination problem and the abdominal pain are related.

Thank you all so much for your replies!

Londres70, I would say my diet is pretty balanced. I get my fair share of grains, vegetables, fats, meats, and more. I love fruit, but I don't seem to incorporate enough of that in my diet. Could that be something that is contributing to this?

I will keep the things you guys told me in mind when I do go to the doctor. I feel pretty good today, but that doesn't make any difference. Discomfort under any circumstance is never a great thing. :p

I don't think you are overreacting at all.  I would suggest trying to get in to see your doctor sooner if possible.

Sounds like a possible gallbladder issue.

What's your diet like?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
There are a few things you must get investigated for: urinary bladder infection, PCOS, acidity with GERD, any food intolerance. Log in the food you take and symptoms that appear to see if there is any correlation.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
