Non-heredity symptoms: Increased Hair Loss, eyesight loss and sunken eyes?

Hi folks,

In last 7-8 years I have symptoms which are big worry to me. These are my main most notable bad-symptoms:

- Increased Hair Loss;
- Increased eyesight loss;
- Sunken eyes;
- Diagnosed "gastritis chr"

I am 100% sure that these symptoms are not heredity-related because:

- I have NEVER had never had any of this symptoms BEFORE 22 years of age (I am currently 29 years old);
- Non of my closest relative had any similar symptoms;

This is part that worries me most: I am afraid that all these symptoms are sings of some transferable disease/bacteria or similar. I am pretty sure that somehow at 22 years of age I get infected with something contagious.
Why I am so sure about this?
Because my closest relatives and closest persons to me are having the same symptoms as I do:

1. I noticed they ALL complaining about eyesight loss and some of them already started wearing reading-prescription glasses;
2. Thair hair become notably thiner in last five years, same as mine;
3. They ALL have sunken eyes;

I have visited two different doctors and I have done some tests. Blood count (blood test) didn't show anything suspicious except higher than average level of Cholesterol (not to much), I was Diagnosed with "gastritis chr", everything else normal.
I know that all this sounds wierd and unreal, I have searched on Internet and I couldn't find *any* contagious disease with these symptoms so I hope someone can tell me what these symptoms mean and is there any disease which could cause these symptoms??

Any help is appreciated and many thanks in advance for prompt replys!

Cheers,
Ed.

Thank you Nicole for your reply.

Yes, I am talking about friend and relatives which I lived with. No, I didn't mention my doctor that my relatives/friends have same symptoms. My doctor couldn't find anything wrong with me except "gastritis chr". He told me that all these symptoms could be easly results of every day stress. So I made mistake not telling him that I noticed identical symptoms on my closest relatives/friends. Even if I could accept doctors opinion that this is allresult of big stress (it is true I am under stress in last 6-7 years), I still can explain that my relatives/friends have IDENTICAL symptoms.

I really doubt it has anything with chemical exposure. None of my friends/relatives or me has anything with chemical exposure 100%.

"chronic gastritis can be a cause by the bacteria called Helicobacter pylori, (did your doctor tell you that?)"

I didn't know this and I didn't ask my doctor about it. I will have to educate self about this bacteria and also tell all about it to my doctor. If it IS Helicobacter pylori is is it possible that bacteria is also responsible for my other symptoms:

- Increased Hair Loss;
- Increased eyesight loss;
- Sunken eyes?

Is it possible I could have **more than one** transferable disease and what kind of test I should ask doctor to do beside blood and urine tests which I already done?

"Have you had your thyroid checked? "

Yes, I did and everything is ok. I know that most symptoms I mentioned are similar to Hyperthyroidism symptoms but as far as I know Hyperthyroidis is NOT contagious.

before i proceed to my answer,may i ask what other test procedure did you get from your complains? your closest relative and friend that you mentioned, do you used to live together on the same environment? i mean same house, community or work? did you also mentioned them to your doctors when you visit then? there's a lot of new things now and new rare condition is difficult to figure out if a patients wont tell everything to their doctors, they can't help you or may mislead to other sickness. is your friend and relative also get a check up? what's the finding? do they have the same findings as yours?

base from your provided info. yes it may be a transferable disease.the reason why i ask you about your friends and relatives is you or someone is a carrier. or if not cause by a bacteria it can also by chemical exposure. for example for bacteria; chronic gastritis can be a cause by the bacteria called Helicobacter pylori, (did your doctor tell you that?) if the bacteria comes with your feces and you don't have a good practice hygiene you can be a carrier of the bacteria as well as the disease.if you're doing the cooking for everybody or you used to eat together with other member of the family they might gonna get it. the body immune system will differ the time of appearance of its signs or symptoms of each individual.you might get that from one of your relative but since you are more susceptible you now thought that you are the carrier. then if it's from chemical exposure: may i know your work and of the others? or hobbies that you do like specific hand craft or something that you are using chemical? or are you living near in place where there can be a potential bad side effect to your health? keep me posted whenever you see your doctor.i might someday met a person with the same issue like yours that i can help through advice because of your shared experience. god bless you.
