Please help me help my friend.

My friend woke up this morning to find her face swollen twice its normal size and BRIGHT, BRIGHT  red cheeks. Her right  side is much more affected than her left. She is having some blurry vision but I could not find a bite site on her. I called EMS, but they said all her vitals were in normal range, but her face continues to swell. The right side of her face is slowly getting back to its normal color but the left is not. I am afraid she has had some kind of anurysm or a stroke and don't know what to to for her.

She definitely needs to see a doctor. It sounds like an allergic reaction... Can you report back to us and let her know how she is doing?

An EMT would not have left unless the patient signed an waiver. Refused transport against medical advice. If the EMT's discouraged a hospital visit (which they often do) they should be reported and suspended. But they will wave the call sheet with the patient's signature in your face. Call 911 and have them take you to an ER.

You called EMT,  and they came and checked her out and LEFT?

I'm not quite sure what you're saying about you couldn't find a "bite site" on her.  This doesn't sound like an insect bite.
