Scared

Hi all..had a recent MRI scan as I had more in September and vertigo and was scared. Results were not good..In the periventricular and subcortical white matter of both cerebral hemispheres with mainly subcortical localization, some variable-sized lesions are observed showing increased signal intensity on T2 and FLAIR-oriented sequences. They do not limit diffusion or take up the intravenously administered paramagnetic substance. have non-specific imaging characteristics. they could concern chronic micro-ischemic foci, as well as and/or non-specific foci related to headaches - migraines no obvious changes can be seen in the interlobular lobe, the optic thalamus, the basal ganglia and the structures of the posterior cranial fossa

I am scared to death..been to two neuros. One brushed it off, the other acted like I am dying ordered sooooo many tests and even suggested a lumbar spine tap even though he doesn't think I have MS . I am only 46 and except for migraines and Hashimoto thyroiditis no other risk factors. Small vessel disease is a nightmare for me. Only thing I can think off is the VACCINES causing this..
So scared and depressed

Hi! It's not easy to say, what it is. Especially not, when there are no pictures to look at. Since it doesn't take the contrast agent up, it's most unlikely not a tumor, which is already very good news! It is true that those lesions are not normal and the origin of those should be determined to prevent any negative further developments.  Did I understand you correctly- you ha a disease of small vessels (vasculitis)? That could be a cause, which unfortunately can't be cured, but it can be prevented from further development. It also can be many other things like microclots. Is your heart rhythm normal? Cardiologist could check it in 24 hour ecg, if deemed plausible suspect. Conclusion: get it tested, lumbar tap may be one of the last things to test, but in some cases really useful, especially for infections; don't worry, most likely it is not dangerous but still very scary for you. Good luck!
