Tooth/Mouth Pain

cul
I have chronic upper teeth pain that remains undiagnosed.  This has been going on for about 8 months.  Around Christmas of 2007, I had pain in the upper left area.  My regular dentist found decay in the very back tooth and also crowned that tooth.  Since the crown, I have been back to my regular dentist several times; they have taken several x-rays and can't find any problems.  He also referred me to a gum specialist and a root canal specialist -  neither of which found anything of concern.  The pain ranges from feeling like it's one tooth - to sometimes feeling like it's all the teeth on the upper left side...the pain can also extend into my jaw area..and sometimes that whole side of my face has a "numb' feeling.  I can never really pinpoint where the pain is coming from.  It can be a constant aching - or even a "decay" feeling like I have a cavity.   I can still chew on that side - it's sometime a bit sensitive to cold, but not overly so.  I  have become very frustrated with the fact that no one can find anything wrong; I certainly don't enjoy going to the dentist over and over - but I know there's something wrong and would really like to get it taken care of!  Any ideas?

I know this sounds weird, but have your sinuses xrayed...you'll probably find an abcess or persistent infection that keeps inflaming the nerve that passes near that area..The pain/ pressure often radiates to the upper molars and/or ear on that side and it can actually cause Bell's palsy -a paralysis affecting the trigeminal nerve (usually temporary) which spreads across your face ...Hope this helps...
