Very large lump/swelling on side of shaft?

Im 18 yearss old and a male who first had sex two to three weeks ago protected. Over the last week or so iv had occasional pain that i looked up and thought was just from first sexual experience. However today i noticed that my shaft has swollen on the right side and appears to have a large lump that is detached from the shaft itseld but inside the skin. I dont feel particularly comfortable telling anyone such as my parents as i come from a relatively religious background and would appreciate any help anyone could give me. Thanks!

With only this information I would say you have some blood leakage.  If this continues to grow you need to have a physician treat this.  Otherwise, if it is blood it will dissipate by itself over time.
If it has been over two weeks since the activity it probably was not the sex itself that directly caused this.  There could have been an issue that the activity brought to light or a condom can cut off blood flow if it is not the right size.  This could have injured the muscle area below it.
Keep a close eye on it and take action if it swells more.
