Hello , I was hopping someone cant help. My wife has been feeling light headed , and feels like she is going to passout. She has not been sweating at all in 80deg weather atleast that i know of for 6hrs plus. She told me she gets the chills real bad when she gets in the ac.Also she has been drinking water , she says it makes her feel sick when she dose. She just had stickages in her hand about 8 days ago when she cut her self, but the would dose not have the signs of infection plus the gave her meds for it , but her hand has been really swollen for the last 3 days. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. Oh she has trouble breatheing to sometimes , when doing something simple. But if anyone can give me idea whats going on would great , im out of state from her right now so all i can do is tell her to go to the er but dont think she will, unless i can tell her whats wrong or something , but please i need info thanks

How long has she been feeling this way? Did she feel that way before her hand was operated on? If she felt that way before u should have her go to the drs. Have her thyroid check its done by blood work. I felt that way and found out that u had thyroid cancer. Also if she felt that after wards could be the medication they gave her and she maybe allergic reaction from it . If this doesn't help it's good for her to get it checked out anyways

What medication is she presently on?  Some narcotic pain meds can make you feel light headed, clammy, nausea ect.  Often when you feel chills you may have a fever.  Like mkh9 said swollen tissue at the surgical site can possibly be an infection.

Hi, well if her hand is swollen where the stiches are she could still have an infection. Have her check her temperature to see if she has a fever. Redness, swelling and pain are the three big signs of an infection. Sometimes the antibiotics don't work. If she has a fever I would have her go into the doctor.
