On thinking back this is now what I'am thinking it was just something small but I don't what although as I say now I still uncomfortable in certain ways when I carry food bags or leaning on them to stand up out of a sitting position. That's why maybe it's just a mild strain and not any thing too bad. I had even begun to think surely my hands can't be that weak.Ha-ha.
Hi Lea, if it was carpal tunnel, you would be getting pins and needles, down your fingers and finding your fingers getting stuck in the closed postion.
And at 35 could just be that your wrists have gone weak.
If I was you I would pop round to your lovley NHE doctor, and get him to send you for some physio treatment, and take ot from there.
Good Luck
It does sound like carpal tunnel. Try icing it 20 minutes on and off. Rest the hands/wrists when you can or take lots of breaks. Then a water bath or two sinks one with cold water with some ice cubes in it and the other warm water. Soak your wrists in the cold water for 30 seconds then warm 30s then cold, warm etc for about 5 cycles ending in cold. That help get the inflammation down. You can take Ibupropin (if you don't have any problems with it). But take NSAID's after food only. See a orthopedic hand specialist when you can. They can do a nerve conductivity test to see if you have carpal tunnel or tendonitis etc. I have tendonitis in both wrists too.
