Glad he is doing better. I get the clicking noise sometimes too as well as a feeling like a window is rattling (my ear pressure or something like that). It will go away. Thanks for the pun! funny.

He will have to follow up out patient, needs to get his ears checked (since they didn't check them in the hospital) he says he does here a clicking noise in his right ear intermittently. He's doing better, he's home now, still gets a little dizzy, yes they gave him exercises to do. Thanks for lending an ear, and for all your help.

Ok, well that is good. I have had this too and it is temporary. Did they give him some "exercises' to stop the vertigo? For me I had fluid in my ear that was causing the vertigo. I took Benedryl for a few days and didn't get it back. They recommended pseudofed but that stuff is harsh for me. Glad it isn't an infection.

Well I guess they ruled out any relationship to elevated white count, his white count came down on its own, still slightly elevated, Dr feels stress related. This is what they diagnosed him with.

You are welcome. It does sound like an infection especially since his white blood cells are up. Has anyone checked his temperature for fever? ANy other symtoms like abdominal pain?

I would have to rule out food poisoning, as he did not eat nothing that day prior to this happening, last thing he ate was a meal in the home that we all ate, and we are not sick.
He denies inhaling any chemical in the garage. I did take him to the ER, they did a CT of the brain, that was ok, drew some blood, seems he does have an elevated white blood count. His blood pressure and other vitals ok. No limb weakness, so it seems he has an infection possibly brewing somewhere but there not sure where yet. Here it is 21 hours later and he still has vertigo and nausea, can't move his head without vomiting. Not sure whats going on. But thank you all for your responses.
It could be something he has eaten , or he may be dehydrated we have hot temps here where I live and folks forget to up the drinking water level ...get some water down him, if it persists then get him checked out ...Good luck
I'm wondering if he has food poisoning that may have just started? Did he eat out recently? Most food poisoning goes away on its own but there are some that do not. I doubt that the 1980's head injury is causing this now. The other thing is did he breath in some chemical that was in the garage? Can you get his temperature to see if he has a fever? Is he having vertigo? Where when he feels like the room is spinning?
CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY!!! These symptoms, even without chest pain, could indicate a heart attack.
