constant pain in upper left breast

I'm a 60 yr old female with constant pain in my upper left breast. It's been going on for many months, there's no discoloration, no discharge. I've had a mammogram and ultrasound that came back 'normal'. As of last week, I now have pain and tenderness in my left armpit. I'm in pain management for chronic pain and the med doesn't begin to help with the pain in my breast. Any suggestions to what this could be?

My suggestion would be that it's either nerve or muscle. See if your doctor will order an MRI of the area.
