Generally these types of swellings are callus formation. This occurs due to wrong pressure. Faulty foot wear—footwear not suiting your feet, wrong posture and prolonged standing cause this. This is called a “corn’ in general terms. Several adhesive caps are available which you can apply over them and which will remove these corns. Sometimes these cannot be removed easily and need surgical intervention. Diabetes too result in repetitive corns.

lump under foot is common in those who have allergies with shoes or shocks or those who are over weight.Other possible reasons may be
Callus formation,Foot injury,Ganglion,Haematoma,Infection,Scar tissue, Sebaceous cyst etc.
You can avoid shoes for few days and follow simple massage if it works.In case of no changes you should consult to a dermatologist.
