tremors recent onset

I have noticed in the last couple of months that I have occasional tremors in my left hand. usually when I am doing something with the right hand that is fairly intense and the left is at rest.   What might be the cause of this?

I think if it was carpel tunnel then it would effect the hand that is being used at that time and not the other one. It kind of sounds like a form of Action tremors, but I have to agree with mkh9. A neurologist needs to be seen in order to get a  real diagnosis
