I had intercourse 2 weeks ago and right after I started to bleed.  I had my periods right after and they lasted 7 days.  During this whole time I have had abdominal pain and lower back pain and now that my periods are done, I will still wipe myself and there is bright red blood.  What could be wrong?

The various causes for vaginal bleeding after sex or continued vaginal bleeding are STDs like Chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis, cervical polyps, yeast infections, endometriosis, cervical dysplasia which is a precancerous condition, uterine polyps, uterine fibroids and cervicitis. None of them are conditions that should be ignored. Please consult a gynecologist for clinical examination and to run some tests for you.

what kind of foods did you eat while you were on your period, the type of acidic acids in foods like sour or spicy foods may make your period continue longer than usuall.
