invisible bug biting my skin

In 2006 I started experiencing biting symptoms all over my body all day, and all night.  I thought is might have been fleas, due to cats living next door.  I went to the xtrem and became a neat freak,  I became a exterminator.  I had all the carpet removed from my house.  It was so bad, I even wrapped my bed with plastic so I could sleep.  That did not work.  I too was losing my mind.   So I moved out of that house and left everything I thought would bring the bugs.  Even after I move into the new house.  I did not bring anything in the house until it was quarantined, and cleaned.  The new house had wall to wall carpet.  I had all of the carpet removed, before moving in.   I still was having the symptoms.  I too went to see three different doctors.  Like others,...My doctors thought I was having mental issues.  My doctor tried predizone and it worked for a little while, so I thought.   I would ask my family if they feel any biting,...but no one did.   Now seven years later, I still am having the symptoms.    No one!  That I have spoke to can give me any answers or, any type of directions so I can find resolution.  I don't know what else to do.  There has to be someone out their that has some kind of way to end this madness.

I feel for you. I have been suffering this biting nightmare for 2 years now. My face gets bitten badly if I kiss my kids who constantly roll around on the floor. I don't see an end to the nightmare and I can't believe this is happening to me. I do have some ideas how to sleep at night but its a long process. I've poisoned my house to the point that I have stopped poisoning although the temptation is always there. I just don't want my kids to end up sterile or with learning disabilities or with cancer or whatever. It's just not healthy. Best of luck dealing with it and you are NOT alone. Folks who suggest its allergies or whatever just don't understand. Feel free to work with me in finding solutions. I just think there should be a worldwide forum to discuss these things.

I take an antihistamine every night before bed - otherwise I can't sleep with all the itching!
Please see:  Invisible Bugs Crawling on my Skin on this forum.
There are too many things to try to list here.

If you have checked the other pages/posts similar to yours, you will see that there are thousands of people suffering from this itch.
It could be the detergent, shampoo or soap that you are using.  Hopefully, that's the answer.
Otherwise, you are one of many who have Morgellons or something similar.
I, too, have been itching for 7 years.  Will be 8 years this October, 2013.   Mine started with a bottle-nosed kissing bug bite on my back.
I have been to dermatologists who laughed at me, diagnosed it as eczema, and one gave me a shot of lidocaine and ushered me out of his office.  I was itching horribly before I left the building.
I sincerely hope that your 7 year itch is not the same as mine.  (No cure, yet.)

      Wishing you the best
