undiagnosed for 3.5 years, intense pressures throughout body with cracking sounds

Hi. I am 26 years old, female. I have been struggling with this for nearly four years. I experience my symptoms every day, sometimes intensely enough to be severely debilitating and distressing. I usually go though a few days where they are most intense every 10 days or so. I am otherwise healthy. I feel pressure building up in different parts of my body -- my head, neck, back, stomach, face, limbs, all over, at various times. The pressure builds up and makes a cracking sound when it releases, like cracking your knuckles. It is often painful, or at least uncomfortable, and sometimes lasts for hours. It doesn't respond well to over the counter pain medications. Sometimes I tap rapidly where the pressure is building up because it seems to make it release faster. But it's not a relief, because there is always more. It seems to move throughout my body with ease. The cracking sounds are sharper when the pressure is close to the bone and more like squishing sounds when close to soft tissue. My symptoms are more or less constant. When I feel them in my nose it sometimes makes me sneeze, in my mouth and throat they are sometimes accompanied by a bad smell. Sometimes the pressure is accompanied by feeling too hot or cold, or by tingling sensations. The pressure causes my body to tense up and is debilitating. I have been to many doctors, none who have diagnosed me. I tested negative for Rheumatoid arthritis and my hormone levels are fine. I currently want to look into acupuncture, because I did once session and at least felt at ease during the session. My symptoms have seriously impacted my life since I've had them and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you! I'll look into that. Regarding food, is there a good restricted diet I can try in order to rule things out? My diet is not too bad. I've been vegetarian for 11 years with rare servings of fish. I could probably use more servings of fruits and veggies, but I do eat some, and also nuts and beans. I don't have any food allergies I'm aware of, and haven't noticed connections between my diet and condition. Not everything I eat is organic, but some of it is.

iI wonder if moxibustion might help. It is using a small cone of mugwort burned on a piece of ginger (fresh cut) on acupuncture points. You could research points to use at home. You also may find pre-glued moxa at an oriental market, if such things are near you. I suspect derangement of the acid/base balance in some body systems may be involved. Examine your diet and research the effects of the foods ingredients... ALL of them. Some food/cosmetic/household chemicals derange the endocrine system, and many upset the natural acid alkaline balance necessary for life. Genetically modified foods can have unpredictable side effects, and animal viruses have been linked to human illness in many cases.
