Hardened Testicles

Hi doctors, im 16 and ive recently noticed that both of my testicles have hardened in the space of a month or less. I had my testicles examined in May and everything was sound but now im fearful that i have something more serious. The left testicle seems slightly harder than the right but both seem harder than before. Should i have another check up? Please answer this promptly!

Hey thanks for the info, it put me at ease a bit.
My testicles seemed to have swollen and hardened and i also experience some shooting pains in my groin area. They seem to become softer when i lie down rather than stand up, and i do seem to find them slighty heavier and sometimes i feel a dragging but recently i have switched to boxers instead of briefs so that might explain it. Im going to take your advice and have it checked out. Do you know how i could contact a urologist in my area because ive tried the internet but it didnt help? should i just visit my doctor?

Hi,
How are you? Hardened testicles can occur due to atrophy of the testicles, neoplastic lesions to the the testis etc. But at first we need to decide whether it is swelling or hardening of the testicles.
Because swelling can occur due to varicocele, hydrocele, epididymitis etc. Do you experience any dragging pain and heaviness in the testicles?
Visit a urologist for detailed physical examination and other investigations which would help to make diagnosis.
All the best.
