Lump in scrotum

I am a 26 year old male and I notice a painless "BB" sized lump in my scotum that is on top of my right testicle and is not attached to the testicle. My physician said it was an inflammed lymph node? I didn't know lymph nodes were in the scrotum, and it hasn't gone away. Has anyone ever heard of this? Should I be concerned? My fiance and I want to have children soon, is this going to prevent us? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The physicians said they were going to leave it there. If my husband noticed any changes in it, pain or anything "new" to come back to the office. As of now he still has the lump.

Thanks for the response, you said your husband had his on or in his scrotum? And did they do anything about it?

My husband has a lump on his scrotum and recently went to the doctor about it. the doctor had him go get an ultrasound on his testicles to see what it was. It ended up being a cyst but you can understand the fear involved. If I were you I would go to another doctor and get a second opinion. When it comes to things of this nature it is almost just as damaging to be stressed over not knowing. Good luck!
