Hi,

Black or dark spots on the scrotum could be due to angiokeratoma. This is usually caused by increased venous pressure and collection of blood in certain tissues for longer durations.

If you also have itching and pain, you will need to have an infection ruled out. Fungal infections can be treated with OTC preparations such as Canesten.

You should also consult a dermatologist for a conclusive diagnosis of the condition.

However, if you have obvious veins on your scrotum, it is possible that you have a varicocele and the spots could be a result of this primary condition.

Do keep us posted on any further doubts in this regard.
