Hi Doc
Thanks for your reply. I had started my treatment with Doxycelene (Doxy-1) from June 08 when I was diagnosed with cystitis-bacterial infection. I responded quite well to it but I made a mistake of not completing the fulll course of medicine and left it midway. And so got another one immediately along with yeast infection called vulvitis.
I was then treated by vaginal tablets called Cantestan and was given Niftran, Dio-1 and Fole 150 which seemed to solve my problem up to 80% after the itching and burning subsided the only thing remained was the constant urge to pee and dribble after peeing. Which also subsided after my urologist replaced Niftran with CefTAS200mg but now after the prescribed medication course is over it has come back.
Doctor can you please tell me what could be the other underlying condtions that could predispose me to frequent UTIs?
Thanks
Bella
Hi,
For how long have you been on antibiotics?
Do you have any other underlying conditions that could predispose you to frequent UTIs?
Enzymatic therapy (acidophilus pearls) and Natural factors are two brands that have adequate quantities of probiotics.
Others include
Advocare, Jarrow Formulas, Nature's Way, Ark Naturals, Kal, Nutravite, Culturelle, Kyo-Dophilus, PB 8, DDS, Mitomax, Pharmanex, Probiotic, Flora Source, Nature Made, Rite Aid, Florastor, Nature's Secret, Vita-Treat, Garden of Life, Nature's Sunshine, and webber naturals.
Yoghurt is a rich source of natural lactobacillus.
A good brand will list the species and the amounts of bacilli in the supplement.
