Prolonged Numbness on Penis after using Benzocaine Wipes

About 10 days ago I tried benzocaine wipes on my penis to delay premature ejaculation. Around 7 days ago I noticed some persistent erectile dysfunction and numbness. It’s been a week and the numbness has improved slightly but I have no libido, no ability to get erections, and a consistent pins and needles sensation.

Could this be prolonged effects of the benzocaine? Or is this nerve damage?

Benzocaine was topical and doctor said I should have nothing to worry about and it should subside. However I’m pretty concerned I did something to my nerve tissue.

You used lidocaine wipes directly on your penis. That's an analgesic albeit topical and numbs the nerves. It does work for some and is a non invasive way to extend things. How long the numbness lasts isn't really given to freely as there aren't a lot of studies. But if it is lasting significantly longer after using them? That's odd. It does deaden the nerve endings under your skin but it is to subside relatively quickly. https://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/benzocaine-topical-application-route/side-effects/drg-20072913?p=1  Have you ever talked to your doctor about using the wipes? Might be a good time to do so and I would not use the for awhile and see if sensation comes back
